Click on the right link and scroll down to capacities.
First series aka AD: https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...1st-Series.pdf Second Series aka TF: https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...2nd-Series.pdf Save the link to the correct model of truck as you will end up referring to it quite often.

Re: '55 235 6 coolant capacity
Thanks. I noticed you are working on a '48 with a 292. I have a built up 261 in my truck with a Rochester TBI, Howell electronics and a BW T5 transmission. Wiring was just completed today and I will attempt a start up tomorrow (after adding coolant). Wish me luck. Thanks again for the help. Dennis

Cooler engine than my stock 68 292 by far. I've got to build a place to work on mine before going much further, this working out in the dirt isn't too

Re: '55 235 6 coolant capacity
We do what we have to do over here on the Rez. The plan is for a 24x32 building that can be expanded out the front later if I ever want to but it will be built one post and one board at a time as I get the cash to do it. I want to retire in January an don't want to owe any money if I can help it. One reason the projects have been going slow is I have been trying to pay down the bills.
