Brake Booster interferes with Inline 6 Air Cleaner

I was afraid of this.

So my brake booster interferes with my air cleaner. Options?
1. smaller air cleaner housing. Suggestions?
2. Fabricate a new air cleaner housing.
3. Swap to the weber 32/36 I have sitting in the box. (I hate this option at this point of my build because the Rochester B is rebuilt and runs perfect).

So, I'm installing a 1995 Blazer power brake booster and MC with a CatainFab firewall bracket (Nice product BTW!).
The air cleaner housing is not going to fit because the booster is in the way.
I bought (and returned) the really small Mr Gasket air cleaner part #4354 because it didn't fit properly on my Rochester B carb. It said it was for 1 barrel carbs but the base ID was too small (barely).

Yeah I'm running into this same issue on my 62 with a 261 and an oil bath aircleaner. I think I'm going to have to get a smaller aircleaner

See I wanted more air inlet so I took a piece of 3" exhaust pipe and made a new snorkel. Changed the cover to the correct concave 63 style.

Would using a smaller dual diaphragm vacuum booster help? Like one from a 92 Chevy Astro Van or S10?

Re: Brake Booster interferes with Inline 6 Air Cleaner

There was an offset lowered air cleaner that was optioned for this reason.

Something like this:

Re: Brake Booster interferes with Inline 6 Air Cleaner

As others have said, the offset air cleaner is what was used. I have a setup from a 67-72 that I tried to install in my 65 with a 292, but unfortunately it interfered with the heater box. If you don't plan on running the factory heater you could go that route too. If you can't find one out there, I'd be willing to offer mine up.

Good idea. I have extra factory air cleaners but shipping to Canada might prove to be too expensive.

Yes, I suppose it would solve the problem.. However I really want to keep the budget down and using this booster and MC helps.

I think I'll have trouble finding an offset air cleaner setup. I had forgotten about that option. I may just cut up one of my factory air cleaner.
