1969 Chevy c-10 Seat Hardware
I am rebuilding my bench seat out of a 1969 Chevy c-10. I have everything but the two very small springs that help the seat sliders lock back ointo position after adjusting. Not the long one that goes to the handle, but the small one that goes around the locking pin. I have attached a picture I found on the Internet with the springs in place.
Does anyone know where to get this spring? I need them both. |

Couple more photos of your missing spring - sorry one is blurry..
If I remember right I had a lot of trouble figuring out how these springs came on and off.. and maybe I never did figure it out.. And yes Ace Hardware. |

Re: 1969 Chevy c-10 Seat Hardware
Well...went to Ace hardware and all they had was a box of assorted springs. None will fit. Thank you for the person that suggested ACE. I might try another ACE store, and see if they have other options. But, does anyone know were to actually get this little seat pin spring. I am going to LMC truck...they don't show it in their catalog, but maybe they have them anyway.

If you are near a junkyard they were used on square body seats for several years as well

Re: 1969 Chevy c-10 Seat Hardware
Thanks for the replies. But, I think I found a place that has them. Bill's truck shop in Canada. I am calling tomorrow to see it they has some. Website says he has the springs, bars and the little clips. We will see.
Thank You all, Michael Miller |
