Re: holy cow!!!
Nice truck. A bit much but I'd say worth it. Too bad it doesn't have the original motor. Musta been a reason it had to be replaced. I'm curious if they swapped the cross member.

Re: holy cow!!!
I wish my truck had a 292. If my 250 ever goes out, a 292 is what I'll look for.
Yes, that truck is overpriced without the original engine, much better choices on CL. |

Re: holy cow!!!
It's only worth less to someone who wants it for all original. For someone who wants a rust free unlmolested truck to do their thing with, as so many do, it it well worth it. It is better than most trucks guys here start with. It's true it could go for more with the correct engine... to the right buyer. Plenty out there would buy that for a patina ride with minimal work...for under $10k

Re: holy cow!!!
Im always amazed what a buyer sees as a old truck , the seller calls patina. Does this mean my weather checked bald tires are patina tires . Or my grey hair is patina. Lol.

Re: holy cow!!!
I guess im guilty of liking the patina myself. I freaking love this truck! In this area it would be a lot more than that. I just like as much original as possible. There only original once though. Thats trucks awesome!!!

Re: holy cow!!!
If it had a good running 292, it would definitly be worth it. $3750 for the truck and $5K for a 292 A/C bracket and working air system.

all the guys pulling the 250's and 292's, the small blocks ,the 3ott columns the 3 speed transmissions and clutch pedal setups to drop a ls automatic in will be searching for an old six banger manual trans to replace the ones they sold for scrap in less than 5 years . The time will come when stock A arms will be hard to find , Keep dropping and chopping them up boys it just makes the pure stock trucks value climb ! KEEP those old parts you or the next owner will want them eventually. or call me and I'll come drag them out of your scrap pile ! The "parts trucks" I bought just 3 years ago for $500.00 the same type trucks in the same condition are now $2,000.00 to $2,500.00

Re: holy cow!!!
I just found 5 trucks (3 - 72's) burried in the back of a junk yard last Friday and 1 had a 10' tree growing thru it , I tried to buy all of them and all I got was a pristine set of cab chrome off 1 , He only charged me $5.00 and said come back in 2 weeks and he'd drag them out so we could actually see what was still good .all still had doors and vent windows engines /trans gone.
