automatic trans temperature
hej, me again.
is there a special way to get the information about the automatic transmission temeperature during driving the car? i am considering to set an instrument to my dashboard/bezel (one slot is free) and than ... jau, what would be the best way to get the exact temperature? in german it is called "temperatur geber" .... thx, stef |

Sure, you just need to install the temperature sending unit in the transmission pan. Depending on the transmission, there may be a plugged port in the side of the transmission case that you can remove the plug from and install the sender there, but if I recall correctly, that spot may provide a high reading. Picking where you want to mount the sending unit is the only part that requires any thought, once you have that done and mounted you only have four wires to connect.
