WTB 4BBL intake and carb

Hey guys, please help me out. I'm looking for a four barrel intake manifold and a 5-600 cfm carb for my 65 327. Needs to have oil fill in intake or a port to machine out. Would prefer edelbrock. Thanks! Looking for used for a good price.

Hey buddy, thanks for the reply! Does the intake have the hole for the oil fill tube?

I gotcha. Well I may be interested in the carb but want the old school intake. I'm running corvette valve covers that I can't part with.

Are you looking for an original cast iron Quadra-jet intake or the older WCFB 4 bbl style? Need a certain mfg. date code? May have one of each cast iron intakes, also think I have a newer aluminum 305 QJ intake if interested in that one. Will check the parts stash and see what I find.

Most of the Edel. Performer intakes have a knockout like a freeze plug for the filltube.

Re: WTB 4BBL intake and carb

Found the GM cast iron WCFB style intake, needs cleaning, not gross but has original flaking Chevy orange and normal useage surface crud. The aluminum GM newer style intake DOES NOT have the oil spout hole so it's out of the running unless your valve covers have oil fill provision. Have not located the QJ style intake yet, "may" have sold it at last swap I did. Will keep looking and post pics of the one cast iron intake I found tomorrow after the digital cam batteries are charged.

Re: WTB 4BBL intake and carb

Sorry did not get the pics posted before this. The only early intake I have with oil fill hole is this GM 3783244 which codes as a '62-'63 327/250 HP cast iron intake for Carter WCFB 4BBL carb. Needs a good cleaning/bead blast, all four carb studs look good. Must have sold the cast iron QJ intake I had. Let me know if this is any interest to you. It is HEAVY for shipping, no idea what that $$ would be.
