I am restoring a '55 2nd series and have replaced the windshield but re-used the original large back window (deluxe cab truck). Naturally, there are scratches and abrasions from a life time of junk being carelessly thrown into the box. Are there any good products for hiding or repairing these scratches?

I have used turtle wax rubbing compound the brown stuff and a drill with a buffer wheel. Go easy on pressure add some water and you will surprised how many scratches come out it wont take deep scratches but most light ones will come out.

Griots Garage products are usually pretty good. They cater to the sporty car brigade for the most part so we don't usually see them on truck or hot rod sites or Magazines.

I've been going to try that stuff on my ot daily as the windshield looks like it got sandblasted at one time. Or the previous owner followed someone too close for a lot of miles during road construction.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
