Bracket #2 is 60,s alternator to manifold drivers side. There were no accessories holes in the heads.

Re: I need help identifying some Brackets
#4 is the rear power steering bracket for a 66 Chevy car.
# 2 is lower alternator bracket for a 65/66 Chevy car also. #3 is the lower alternator bracket for heads with mounting holes. The hole has been cut off the long end. I have #1 but don't remember what it's for. #5 looks to be modified. Not sure what it's for. Mike. |

Re: I need help identifying some Brackets
O.k.,now that I've thought about for a while,I believe that #5 is the bracket that mounts on the frame for ram assisted power steering for 60/67 trucks and earlier cars.It holds the end of the cylinder, the other end of which mounts to the draglink.
#1 looks like it might be a passenger side A.I.R. pump mount(this is a guess). I don't mean to sound like a know it all.I have a lot of 60's cars and trucks and a huge pile of brackets that I don't know what they are for.I'm constantly trying to find what fits what. I also have a lot of pulleys too.Same problem! Someone needs to start a web-site just on engine accessories! Mike./ |
