Going Camping
I almost have all the work done to the c/10 that needs to be done for now. About to take the truck and camper out for a dry run to see how they work out on the road.

Re: Going Camping
the mirrors are from the 70"s. they have two clips that hang on the top inside of the fender, and a j hook for the bottom inside of fender. You tighten a turnbuckel screw to tighten everything up to the fender. I picked this set up for 10.00 at a flea market. The trailer is a 1969 safari.

Re: Going Camping
Beautiful combo there. If it feels too soft in the tail end, you might consider Airlifts that fit inside the coils... That is, if it has coil rear. There are auxiliary air spring kits for leaf as well that comes with mounting brackets. I've used both and they give a true 1,500# added capacity, not to mention added stability

Great info on the coil spring reinforcement springs! I could use those on my truck once she's running. Are these mirrors stable and hold the setting or do bumps and vibrations make them go askew? *I've been reading reviews on some versions. |

Re: Going Camping
Man that is one sweet setup! Like someone else said, you will be the hit of the camp ground and you'll get plenty of attention out on the open road that is for sure. I've been looking for a truck camper for my 70 Longhorn but I have been thinking about ditching that idea and going with a vintage trailer. Many more options out there and I've had at least 4 vintage trailers myself.. What kind of drive train and gears are you running?
