Nice original truck on CL - not mine
Almost certain the paint is not original. Nice truck. Would be money well spent IMO.

Re: Nice original truck on CL - not mine
I love when people say "one owner" truck and then hand you the title signed by the previous owner that had never been transferred, especially when it has changed hands a few times that way. To me, I don't care if it had 1 owner or 8 owners.

Re: Nice original truck on CL - not mine
What I saw was.... The wrong air cleaner, hub caps and what looks like the interior was repainted a different color. The doors and dash seem to not match the floor.

Bring a magnet if there are no "before repaint" photos.

Re: Nice original truck on CL - not mine
clearly a repaint, exhibiting one of my biggest pet peeves (not that I have that many..) Not only did the painter not paint the black behind the grille (i.e. inside the white grille surround, but he also didn't even finish the white grille surround under the grille area. Can't painters and/or owners at least Google an original factory pic of a truck before they start masking everything in sight off and spraying? Concur, most of the interior is the wrong color. Closer to 66 fawn, but still not correct for that year, let alone for a 65. Oh well. Still, just pickin at the scab - this isn't a bad truck for the price - but I also agree you need to see this one in person, with a magnet. It's clearly got some painted over mud issues.

Re: Nice original truck on CL - not mine
My BAD!!!!!
I should NOT have used the word ORIGINAL. . . . . at all. The responses are interesting though. Not many compliments. Consider this . . .if a new member posted this as their recent purchase we would all be nice and say how it looked like great fun and that it was in pretty good shape. When it comes to commenting on something for sale on CL, we all fold our arms and get out our magnifying glasses. We have all seen the rare gem selling for half of what it's worth. This is not one of those . . . . nor do I think it's overpriced. We have all seen those trucks on CL too . . . . ran when it was parked $5000 FIRM. LOL!! No thanks. In all fairness, I'm just wondering how many of us, with a truck that looks to be in the same shape would sell yours for less? Not trying to fight here. I know how much money it costs to rebuild a truck and while it's not perfect (or very original), I think this one would make someone a happy new owner. Of course a full inspection is always recommended even if buying from Barrett-Jackson.
