71 trailing arm torque with poly bushings
I really couldn't find an answer researching site. Anyway is it ok to torque rear trailing arm pivot bolts with poly bushings without having the weight of truck on the ground like when rubber bushings are used? Being they pivit internally. ? Trying to button up rear suspension & rear is in mid rebuilding & wont be able to install for a while..thanks.

Re: 71 trailing arm torque with poly bushings
Yes, it's a no-no to tighten an OE-type rubber bushing in any other position than final-weight and ride-height,
but because poly bushings freely rotate around their inner sleeve (unlike the OE rubber type) you can literally torque the bolts tight in any position you want. |
