I have some dynomax headers from summit they give me about 5-6" of clearance (I think, the truck is at my moms house right now)

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I am running hooker headers on my 454, I lowered the front 2.5 inches and the headers only hang 1/2 an inch below the frame, haven't mashed them yet (knock on wood)

The ONE.

The ONLY header to use on a slammed 67-72 Chevy truck is off of a 70 Big Block Camaro. I got mine from Summit for around $450. They are ceramic coated and all. Headman makes them. I have air ride on my truck and the control arms lay flat on the ground when the air is released. NO clearance problems. If I had the tire and
control arm clearance, I could drive the truck without any fear of dragging the headers. Later, FuelCellGuy

F.C.G, are those 70 BB F-body headers full lengths? I also don't have to worry about ever dragging my Sanderson headers so I guess there's more than 1 correct answer to this question.

Length

They terminate just above the oil pan. I would call them mid length headers. They dump pointing towards the back of the truck at a 45 degree angle. They work fine. Later, FCG

I bought a set of brand new Hedman ceramic coated big block Chevelle 3/4 length headers off eBay for $170. Bolted them up to Project Daisycutter over the weekend just to get an idea of fit. Have a 4/6 drop. Both headers end at the block/bellhousing and have PLENTY of ground clearance.
