WTB: Factory heater delete firewall panel

My truck originally was built as heater delete and I want to remove the dealer installed heater. I still have the original dash plate. Thanks for any leads.

Re: WTB: Factory heater delete firewall panel

Are you considering the above linked repro/copy of the firewall heater delete panel? If you prefer OE, we can supply you with an original heater delete firewall panel removed from a 70 short stepside, it probably wouldn't be until Monday 8/22 that I could research what the OE one's have been trading hands at and what the price split would be since you already have the interior dash delete/control panel block off plate. Let us know, Mel.

Hi Keith, have you purchased one of these repro heater delete firewall covers yet, any feedback to give on them? We have a Cali customer that mentioned these repro's are molded in a plastic resin and have a sorta plastic feeling to them, can you confirm if the copies are metal or plastic? Thanks, Mel.

I do have one.
They are fiberglass.
EXCELLENT copy.
Flat and rigid.
Quality piece!
I would use a thin rubber gasket on the back side to make them seal up nice against the firewall.

Where do you want the money sent? Do you have the round cover as well? I also have a list of other parts needed?

A pm has been sent with or payment info. It's a no on the round cover, all that we offered had here in this thread was the firewall delete and the interior control delete plates. Thanks, Mel.

What is it that you are needing? We have a ton of stuff between two locations but time is pretty scarce at the moment if the needed stuff/parts are not already pulled and on the shelf. Mel

Also, here are a couple of clearer shots taken outside showing the holes needing repaired.

Payment was sent for the panel.

I'll send you another PM with a list. I also left voicemail for you. I don't want to hijack my own thread with parts that are not relevant to heater delete.

In my opinion, the holes, scratches and worn paint only add to it. I can't wait to get it. Way cooler than a new one.

Thanks again Mel for providing a rare part at a reasonable price.

Those are reproduced.
Many Chevrolet muscle car parts businesses sell them.
Look on eBay also

I can get a Chinese made copy on eBay for less than $50.

I'd rather have a 50 year old original one. I know that they're out there, I just have to find it.
