The seller had offered the cap at a more than fair price and had not yet asked or stated offers considered. No bids around here and an "I'll take it" trumps all, offers and questions do not hold a place inline here on the parts board. Mel

Boy am I kicking me self now. My dad had a set of those he took of his 68 when it was new. He put them them on the self and I filled them up with cement for some weights I needed. But that was 30 years ago, who knew.

I kinda disagree with Mel a little, OP Mike at least it would have been respectable of him too at least give you an answer, if anything. Yes mostly the wording "I'll take it" gets it but I have seen and have said something in that same manor of words gotten a answer like NO or maybe a adjusted asking price.
