Tonneau Covers
I remember a little while ago someone looking for a tonneau for their truck, here is a website I found www.tonneau-covers.info You can try that and see if any of those dealers have the cover that you were looking for.

I'm looking for the old skool simple soft tonneau with the snaps on the sides. I know y'all probably think I'm nuts, but I have a stepside and I think the old style matches the period of our trucks (at least on stepsides). Do you know where I can get one? They shouldn't be that expensive. Thanks!!

I'm having a company that makes curtainside truck trailers and tarps make mine up. I have some 2x2 aluminium angle that I'm going to make a frame out of that will bolt to the bed via the stake hole, insulated from the bed to stop it damaging the paint by some closed cell foam (camping mat cut into strips!) and snaps on the new frame, totally reversible and should look pretty neat. I may even make some bows to attach to the frame to keep the middle of the cover up and taut as it rains a lot here!

Yep !! I agree totally !! I also have a stepside and think the newer hard covers are just out of place on a step.
And whoever had the bed that I bought from Junkyardjohn, Agreed with US,,,, It has the snaps already on it. They are going to stay there and I'm either going to make a vinyl cover or find someone else to do it for me. Black, with a big Padded Bowtie in the forward middle. A boat shop that does covers for boats should be able to do what we need. They make all of the covers for boats. Ron Quote:

Checkmate
Checkmate, in Benton, KY., has the best prices for soft tonneaus, that I have found. You may have found some that are cheaper, but I haven't.
They also do hard tonneaus, that are cheaper than others.

My stepside had them when I bought it. I sure do remember welding all them dang holes up too! LOL I may have seen them in J.C. Whitney. I know I saw a black one somewhere for about $89 dollars. (just can't remember where)

OldSkool Cover....
Yeah I know what you mean. Mine is a SWB fleet and it has the soft cover as well. Although it has a few snaps that are toast and it is really in need of replacement. I agree on the look of the soft cover(hence the user name). I know of at least one place you can get them from BrothersTruckParts for $139 in black or white stepside or fleetside. Here is a link if your interested.
