I'm wondering when i lower my truck even more if i am going to have any premature u-joint wear. I have a single driveshaft but the driveshaft u-joints have 2 different cup sizes for each u-joint so they were about $50 each! So i don't want to blow through them left and right. Is there a certain angle they should be and what is the maxium angle they can be before they start to wear really fast?

My beater 68swb w/1pc driveshaft has @ least a 4/6 drop & I haven't had any u-joint issues in 3+yrs.

If anything, it will make u-joint wear better, because you are making more of a straight shot from the rear end of the tranny to the yoke on the rear end.
Trucks with huge lift kits tend to be rough on u-joints because of the sharper angles down from the tranny to the rear end. |
