Re: Gauge cluster brightness
I replaced my cluster bulbs with led 194 style , made my cluster crisp & bright like on modern vehicles , but they wont dim , i used the cheap led,s. But i left std bulbs in warning lights due to resistance issues.

Re: Gauge cluster brightness
I covered the backs of all my gauges with silver foil tape to make it more reflective, that helped. I tried LEDs but did not care for them, so just went with the brighter of the 194/165 in all locations. They're still not "great" but they're legible and visible.

Re: Gauge cluster brightness
The gauges in my truck are not all that bright. The lighting is all original. The speedo and fuel gauge aren't bad to read at night, but the smaller gauges are pretty dim. I'd like them to be a bit brighter, but also dimmable.
