Either someone has filled the marker light holes or it is a '67 bed. You should be able to see from underneath if someone has filled them.... LockDoc

Re: Truck bed help?
Doesn't shortening the bed also make the rear marker lights go bye-bye? Maybe it's a shortened long bed?

Re: Truck bed help?
Depending on how you shorten it. But then you also have the middle stake pocket to make disappear, so the OP can look for signs of that too.

Re: Truck bed help?
If the rear wheel well rim is the same front and back then it's a short bed. If the front rim curves forward at the bottom then it's a long bed. Not sure if that applies to all years 67-72.
