1972 Chevy C10 Highlander Longbed

Getting me build thread ready with some recent pictures. Trying to figure out how I can to do this truck. I was planning on painting satin black with yellow and lime green pin stripes. After finding out it is a highlander I don't know if I want to go in the direction of a stock kind of look or my rat rod kinda look.

It has a chevy crate 350 motor with Vortech heads and hei distributor. Two inch drop coils in the rear and drop spindles in the front.

Looks like a good truck. I like the way it sits. I would just build it the way you would like it.

That's what I'm thinking. Might give it a hint of highlander in the rat rod feel. Coming up with some ideas slowly.

First car show inside the local mall. I'm just a couple weeks away from recieving my tax refund "hot rod stimulus check" to redo the whole interior, lights all the way around and get me a rear bumper.

If you redo the seat hang onto that cover if the plaid is in decent condition.
Looks like a great project And welcome to the forum

O yea. This seat cover will be changing but I will be putting the original away in a safe place. This is the original avocado highlander seat cover. Just in case I ever want it back.

Re: 1972 Chevy C10 Highlander Longbed

This last weekend my son and I enjoyed a car show and having our truck in it. He ended up winning a model drag car from a drawing.

Over this weekend I got all my led lighting installed all the way round with my Halo headlights up and running. I'll post a link to a video below.

The link for my video clip of all my led lights up and running.

Also painted my visors black and will be painting the door panels black as well once I remove them. Just waiting for the tool to get the pins out.

A little before and after for the rear of my truck. Just got my smoothie chrome bumper on. About time I get a rear bumper after owning it for almost a year.

Re: 1972 Chevy C10 Highlander Longbed

Painted my door panels black. Now a little touch to do on them. Thought it was cool with the original door panels the codes on the back for the other colors.

Re: 1972 Chevy C10 Highlander Longbed

Yesterday I spent a few hours ripping everything out and putting in my new sound deadener, heat shield, and carpet. I was lucky enough that my wife was there to help out and take some pics.
