Timing light
I need to buy a timing light. Any reccomendations on brands/models, things to look for?

Make sure the light you buy has adjustable timing setting so you can dial in your full advance.
When the truck is running you can set your gun at 28 degrees advanced, this will bring the timing mark back down to the pointer so you can dial it to the exact number you need. When you are at 28 degrees of advance you are way beyond the little timing tag that usually only goes up to 12 degrees, by setting the gun at 16 it would bring a total advance number of 28 back to 12 on the tag so you can adjust more. |
