6 lug wheel question???
Will newer 6 lug Chevy wheels fit a 1970 6 lug? I have late 70's rally wheels on now and plan on taking them off to get powder coated, but in the meantime, I still want to drive my truck! I see on Craigslist used 6 lug Chevy wheels and tires pretty cheap, so just wondering if they would work!

Re: 6 lug wheel question???
While the bolt pattern is the same, the hub center bore varies as does the wheel offset (backspacing).
Look here to compare. http://www.roadkillcustoms.com/hot-r...#axzz3sTJC7aS5 |

Re: 6 lug wheel question???
Thanks Geezer! That is what I needed to know. Looks like any 6 lug up to 1987 will work!

Re: 6 lug wheel question???
I used 1" billet spacers in the rear, otherwise factory '15 wheels and tires all around. I can't fit the front center cap without a spacer, I'm still working on a solution for that.

Re: 6 lug wheel question???
1/2 ton 4x4 rims on Blazers and Suburbans through '91 will work in addition to the up to '87 on 1/2 ton 4x4 trucks, blazers and subs.

Re: 6 lug wheel question???
6 lug wheels from trucks 99 and up have a smaller diameter hub so they will not slide on.
any 6 lug nissan toyota or chevy wheels should work.

Re: 6 lug wheel question???
Along with not having the correct center hole bore for front drum trucks and rear axles, the offset is different on the inside and will push the wheels really far inwards and possibly rub the bed or front suspension when turning.

Re: 6 lug wheel question???
Thanks guys! I found another set Truck Rally's on Craigslist today! He was asking 400, but I offered 200 and he accepted! One of my Hubs was broken, and the beauty rings are better than mine, so it's a win in my book!
