Canadian paint codes?
Canadian paint codes have been brought up a few times in the past and I was curious if there is any kind of data base or record of what colours these codes represent? All of the ones I've seen are four digit codes such as 5202, 5008, 5006, 5208 etc. My truck is 5202 and it can tell just by sanding back that it was originally "503 glenwood green" with a white roof

Well after lots of searching around I found some, keep in mind these are Canadian paint codes for 1966, so other years will likely not follow this information. For the colours that say "irid" I believe it indicates iridium (meaning metallic). Here they are
Light green, 5002 Yellow, 5012 White, 5013 Silver irid, 5005 Dark green, 5001 Orange, 5011 Off white, 5014 Light blue, 5004 Turquoise irid, 5007 Cardinal Red, 5006 Grey, 5009 Dark blue, 5003 Dark Aqua irid, 5015 Saddle irid, 5008

Interesting that my Canadian made 1966 saddle truck has a paint code of 5208 (rather than 5008)

I think you will find that the 503 does not have as much blue in it. Nobody I went to could find a reference to the Canadian code for mixing so I had to go with the 503.
