My latest purchase! WOW!

I have a friend that had this truck and he told me about this truck he restored some things on it in 07 but it was just paint, seat cover, carpet and few odds and ends. He bought it from original owners in 04 or 05 with 53,k miles on it and had all the original paper work with the truck and even had the original title if he could find it. He sold it to a guy and it was sitting in his shop and the guy had not really done much with it. He tried to mess with AC and brakes but not done much with the truck. After month and months he finally found the guy and he said it was not for sale but he was looking for a 96 to 98 single cab truck. Guess what I owned? 3 months before I bought the cleanest little 96 single cab truck probably in the state. Well I met the guy and we did some trading. I will keep this truck FOREVER!

Good to see a home state guy do well. I used to buy a bunch of stuff at Russell Chevrolet, parts wise. That is an amazing looking truck. Enjoy.

That's a beauty! Having sought out one so original, are you going to keep it factory?

Re: My latest purchase! WOW!

Very nice original truck and a definite keeper. Now all you have to do is find a 96/98 single cab to replace the one you traded and you'll have the best of both worlds.

Re: My latest purchase! WOW!

The underhood will stay just like it is. I found an original am/fm and was planning on doing corvette style steering wheel but its original so having tuff time changing that. I plan on doing a 3/4 drop and keep the rallys. I just like them lowered with clean look and I will keep all original parts. dash pad is flaking with black under it so may replace that.

Nice truck! When I looked at the pictures I thought how weird...a green dash pad. Usually with a tilt column the dash pad is black. You can search here, its been discussed before. Dash pad should match steering wheel and column color.

Re: My latest purchase! WOW!

See I thought it looked original but why is it green?

Re: My latest purchase! WOW!

The dash pad is correct, it is green as is the rest of the interior. The tilt column and steering wheel are black which is also correct.
