Ride Height question with measurements
I just got my 69 C10 back from the shop where I had a 4 wheel disc brake conversion done. I am running stock 15X8 ralley's with 235-70-15's on all corners. I went with the normal height spindles in the front (CPP 4 wheel disc brake conversion kit) and the previous owner did a lowering flip in the back. To me it looks like the truck is riding too high in the front. Measuring from the ground on up to the bottom of the wheel well I have 30 3/4 " in the front and 30 1/4" in the rear. Please post up pics of your trucks and what your ride heights (measurements) are in front and rear? Should I go with a lowering spring in the front or cut springs and if so how much etc. All advice welcome. THANKS and I will try and post pics of the truck as soon as I can get some up here.

Any advice or assistance on this issue would be greatly appreciated and also if someone could tell me how to embed pictures in my post that would be great as well. I look forward to posting more as I fix up my 69

Re: Ride Height question with measurements
Lots of good pics and info about the drop and tire sizes being run here in this thread. Compare where the axle centerline on the body is in pics to your truck.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=471442 Drop spindles are always preferable to drop springs. Drop spindles maintain suspension travel and don't compress the shock while shorter drop or cut springs do. More travel equals better ride. Whichever way you go only you can figure out how much drop will look good to you. Have a look at the gap between the wheel opening and the tire, measure it, figure out how much closer you want that gap. Does your truck have stock height spindles? Stock springs? If something isn't stock then you may not get the drop your expecting. It's a little hard to tell from the angle (wish camera was lower and more in the middle) but I'd be tempted to just go with taller rear tires for some rubber rake. |

Re: Ride Height question with measurements
Truck looks good. Cut 1/4 coil in the front if you want to drop it that 1/2" to match the rear. Not enough to affect ride if you just have stock springs and cpp spindles.
