spin on oil filter nipple
The engine in my 1966 1/2 ton is a 250. when motor was rebuilt the rebuilder removedand lost the oil filter nipple and now I need to find one, junk yard I know . The nipple is removed fromthe block via an allen wrench. Does anyone know what size that allen wrench is so that I can find one before going to the junk yard.? Thanks in advance

Re: spin on oil filter nipple
Not sure off the top of my head.
I think I have a scrap block with one still in it, FWIW. Let me know if you're interested. Otherwise, I'll at least measure the hex for you if no one comes up with a number by then. |

Re: spin on oil filter nipple
A 1/2 inch allen wrench is what is needed to remove oil filter nipple. Thanks to everyone who responded I found one (nipple) at the junk yard and is now installed in my 250 block. Cheers
