Window Flange Rust

So I took the rear window out of my 72 (large rear window) and the metal flange that the the gasket goes over is in pretty rough shape. There is a pretty good size spot right above the gasket on the cab that had about 3/8" of bondo covering a dent. Well the water was leaking into the gasket from the dent and has done a number on the metal flange. Does anyone have any tips for repairing this (both inside and outer pieces of the flange need to be repaired/replaced)?

Re: Window Flange Rust

Sounds like it needs to be cut out and a new one welded in from a donor truck as there is no patch panel made for this.
