Bucket seat ID please - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Can someone identify these buckets. I'm not sure they are GM.
I posted a pic in the 67-72 board and got 3 different answers;
mid 80's gm, 73-77 chevy truck and late 70's dodge van. Does anyone recognize the seat cushion pattern or hardware?

the flat brackets lead me to think van, since they tend to have flat floors, unlike cars and trucks that ussually have shaped brackets

Blazers and Burbs have flat floors...and I believe PU had brackets welded to the floor and the seat bolted to them.

So these seats COULD be out of any of the three...but I think they are buckets out of a 73+ PU.

Can't be a truck or Blazer, or at least can't be a 73-87. The slide lever is on the front of all of them, this one has it on the side. Plus, Blazer/Burbs have a pedistal the seat sits on. The passenger side for up to about 80 something (85?) has a tip feature with a hook built onto the frame.

I beleive the hardware you see on the bottom is just the slider assembly that would bolt to the brackets or a pedestal. It would be too low to the floor to operate the slider if mounted directly to the floor.

I am not disagreeing with the slider being mounted directly to the seat, I am disagreeing with the location of the lever on the side. All 73-87 pickups have the lever on the front.

I think Vegas used the same seats as Camaros. A friend of mine with a salvage yard in the 80s used to use Vega seats as Camaro replacements.

I had a set end up in an old Suburban I had, and the answer I got was they came out of a Ford. They were a funky dark green. Anyhow, they ended up in a dumpster. The floorpan is similar in a pickup and Sub, the Blazers are the only ones with flat floors in the front.

What a strange coincidence...these were in a co-workers '70 Suburban. Obviously not stock as they were mounted on a mickymoused pedestal and both with the same side slider lever (both drivers side). And the upholstery was "funky dark green".

pic 2, I didn't think the upholstery was original, so I ripped off the upholstery of the first seat to reveal the cushion for ID'ing. I guess it will still be an unknown bucket for now.

I think mine was a 76, but that is the seat. It was a "coyote wagon", so it was just something that had been sitting around. My uncle was always building something to thrash while hunting coyotes.....
