Interesting. Reminds me of the vintage VW Bug and Van racks.

I used copper tubing and aged it with a vinegar solution For the rails. You can see the green corrosion. May have a metal one made up if I can't build a metal one on my own. Or bend some copper to do a full railing with my brackets. I know a little about the VW's racks

A roof rack (and tiny one at that) on a vehicle with a bed designed to carry ample amounts of stuff is a bit confusing to me. However, it looks to be well executed.

Lol, of course it is not for practical use . Just something different to help me find my truck .
Although it could be useful to some with raised beds which I have no problems with. lol.

I like the idea, some factory truck now have options for roof racks (Baja package, etc...) Interested to see what the final product looks like, please post picks when done.

Yeah, I figured as much. I was just being a little tongue-in-cheek But if you felt adventurous, you could strap a vintage cooler or spare tire up there and really blow some minds.

If anyone is interested the company has a heck of a good deal on them right now. $56, normally $70. On eBay for more actually.
