96 rc sb 4x4 new addition to the family

picked up this for the wife to drive in the winter. needs cab corners and rockers. interior is really filthy. the saw blade wheels are going in favor for steel wheels. the mt's and 17 from my 97 are temporary till the steels are cleaned and painted.

had a problem with the front markers no working when I got it home. well I found the problem. yea luckily my uncle has a few parts trucks he said I could rob a dash harness from one. hopefully getting that tomorrow.

well got the wiring fixed. everything is working now. next steel wheels and tires. getting ready for inspection soon. hopefully road ready after x-mass. a shot of her all cleaned up and back together. also one with my 97. found two broken u-bolts on the rear.

well brakes are bleed, new u bolts on the rear, and the wheels an tires are on. getting a little bit closer to inspection time. also put a push bar on her.

not much to update just put on Kodiak door handles and picked up a set of factory roof lights. also have to get my full face brush guard this week. put the bug deflector back on too.

well been driving the wheels off of Rusty as my wife has named it. went to change the upper ball joints the other day and found the new driver side front and rear shocks broken. good thing they are under warranty. also changed out the torn steering wheel and got rid of the nasty carpet for a factory grey rubber floor mat.

well got one rocker done. shocks replaced. working swing shift has been rough getting anything done.

Hey, I can relate to the swing shifts and trying to get things done. Keep going, I haven't done a thing to ours lately, I am taking the work while its here.

Truck looks really good. You just don't see enough regular cabs out there, especially 4WD ones.

well got the cab light installed today. still working on the custom hood. still have to do the cab corners and the passenger side rocker. also got a lot of house projects to finish too.

hood is done. well as done as it is going to get. she's not perfect but hey neither is rusty. also got some of my hunny do list done too. happy wife happy life. may get to install it tomorrow. fingers crossed.

color doesn't match too well but what can you expect from a rattle can.

well got the new bed for rusty. dump bed hinges are made. now to make the hoist unit and get the cab corners and rockers finished.

well haven updated in a while. rusty got new upper and lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rods and adjusters. also new idler arm also go aligned. he got some 17 wheels and bfg m/t 255/75r17. got the plow mount mad and plow installed. also put a back rack on the truck too.

That little truck has a new lease on life. Nice work. I bet you can pop out the dent in the passenger door with a suction cup. I've had real good luck with dents like that.

got rear ended yesterday. waiting on insurance to tell me it is totaled.

yes everyone is ok. I had some mild whiplash. the other guy was fine his truck is totaled too. sad part is it was someone else that caused the whole thing. I'm going to buy it back from the insurance company. if the frame isn't bent. I may try to fix it. if not I will have parts for my 97 and my father in-laws truck. so I may be truck hunting soon.

yes could have been worse. may have found a replacement. looking at a 2008 chevy k1500 lt Silverado ext cab 4x4. needs a little work but the price is right.
