Re: Cold Case is here to help

If your name is Chris, you sold me a 67-72 c10 LS swap radiator/fan combo at the Charlotte Good Guys show a few months ago. I was told that it was a new product but in the production cue and would be ready in December. I didn't need it right away so I placed the order. I was all excited about it and even promoted your product to Truckdude239 (also on this thread). He called and was told that you guys are not making the LS swap c10 radiator and that he should buy the Chevelle radiator because it was similar. I said, "that can't be, I just bought one". I figured that was obviously a mistake so I called your company and was told the same thing! Were you just going to send me a Chevelle radiator and not say anything? I did receive a call from someone else at your company asking if I wanted to buy the Chevelle radiator and I told him I needed a couple of days to think about it. He said he would call again the following week to see if I wanted it but he never called back! You guys are off to a bad start in the customer service dept. and if you treat everyone this way, you won't be around long either. BTW... Even though you (Chris) "sold" me the original radiator, I have yet to hear from you since.

Buyer beware!

Re: Cold Case is here to help

What is "odd" is that is the same part number radiator as their 68-72 Chevelle radiator, even though the sizes between the two vehicles are a little different. Which one isn't a direct fit replacement? I'm guessing the C10 since that wasn't listed a few days ago. Plus, they told me it wasn't the same size when they tried to sell it to me.

Re: Cold Case is here to help

I got my radiator today the radiator looks good quality wise was little disappointed that where was no paper work other the. The reciept, the fan shoud said not to install untill you read the intrustions there was none, also there is a place for the stream port but it had a cap in it i was luckly to find a fitting in my tool box at work that fit tbe port and hose. Fans look good but wish they offered the matching pig tail for the fan plug which i will have to either try and find or cut them off and wire it into my harness also make sure to order a radiator cap with your order as it does not come with one and it does not have any ppaperwork telling which cap u can buy at tbe local store but my cap on my old radiator fit it. over all i am happy with the radiator and erik at cold case was awesome to deal with and called me right back today to answer the questions i had. So with all that said the a body ls radiator went right in my trucks so my friends dont be scared to deal with them erik was up front about everything and great to deal with

Weather pack connectors or deutsch connector?
Both are available the end user, are a quality product and can tie into existing engine or body harness..

Re: Cold Case is here to help

Maybe a dumb question here. Is it possible to get the 63-66 C10 radiator, but with the mounting bracket from the 60-62 radiator?

My 66 core/radiator support has the mounting holes in it to take the 60-62 brackets and I like that it pulls the radiator up tighter to the radiator support. Is there any downside to doing this?

Re: Cold Case is here to help

The holes in your radiator support are for attaching the side panels that the factory fan shroud attaches to. I do not know if those holes are spaced the same as on a '60-'62 radiator support. You will also have to run an electric fan(s) in doing that.

Re: Cold Case is here to help

Thanks captainfab, I knew there was something off with my logic. I new the stock fan shrouds went there but did not know if the hole spacing was different either. I have an aftermarket alum. radiator with E fans now (I did an LS3 swap), but would have been nice to eliminate the stock cradle mounts and use the holes in the radiator support instead to mount it, I don't use the shrouds. Right now my VA condenser mounts in those same holes. I think I had a case of wishful thinking with this idea ..

Yikes. So sorry for that. I had 2 different production runs of kits in the trailer. You may have gotten an old one? What color was the box and was it shiny or flat in color?

If you give me your e-mail, I'll send you the pdf.

Again, my apologies.
