That bites! I have a nice '68 Step side I bought from Ga. with a bill of sale(notarized legal document) and the state of IL will not let me title it. They also say I need some document that says the truck has not been thru a natural disaster(hurricane or tornado).

Good luck with sale and Merry Christmas to you!

The joy of buying from a non title state!! A Title is easy to come by. Sell it on paper to a friend or board member in South Carolina. You will have a title in a few weeks. Then you have a title in hand, As far as not been thru a natural disaster(hurricane or tornado....someone at DMV likely fed you some incorrect info....that should be for newer cars.

Remember folks...ANYTHING is possible if you truly want something....lets focus on the solutions and not the problem.

Sue for a Quiet Title. A judge will order the state to assign your vehicle with a new vin number.

Re: 1971 C10 project for sale

This is killer deal for someone looking to get a head start on a nice build. I've seen this truck in person numerous times and it's every bit as solid as Number98 describes. The frame/suspension work is nicely done as well.

Re: 1971 C10 project for sale

Since you are selling this complete and not parting out it belongs on the "trucks for sale" board located here : http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/c...ndex.php?cat=8

Thank you.
