That is the do not pull knob, only available that year. What I would give for that one!

I think the front bumper, the tool boxes, and the cab-top light are pretty cool on that truck.

Re: GovDeals...2 days left

Price is interesting. Just over 4000 for a truck that needs a lot of work, and has some rust issues, very few options. Prices seem to be under a lot of upward pressure on these trucks.

On the one hand, it's nice to see our trucks going up in value, but on the other hand, in the end, they will be unavailable to ordinary hobbyists, and if they really do go a long way up in value, a bit more risky to use as a driver.

Re: GovDeals...2 days left

It is in South Carolina and there may be very few relatively rust free trucks around. When I lived there in the 80's it was hard to find parts for my GTO due to rust.

I've always known SC to be a great state for low rust. Basically speaking anyway. There may be parts of the state where it's the exception.

I lived in Charleston, so I'm guessing the salt air was a factor.

I don't know if it is the government auctions or just a co-incidence, but it is the 2nd time lately. I went to see a truck like the one in my avatar and was hoping on $1900 or less and dang if it didn't finish off at $8,900 !!

Don't know what it is that make the bidders go crazy but to me there tends not to be too many "Deals" on GovDeals. I do enjoy looking at the auctions but have to shake my head when I see what some of the stuff sells for.

Re: GovDeals...2 days left

I think this is a much better "truck for the money". https://chattanooga.craigslist.org/cto/5949918020.html

I've won auctions on GD and some of the ones I lost went for premium, lol, weird.

Re: GovDeals...2 days left

GONE already. Bet it was sold to someone on here, unless the GD bidder called him and offered $4,000.
