Brought me a ceiling fan for the garage. Should help a bit with keeping sweat out of my eyeballs this summer.

Re: what did santa bring(non truck stuff)

Girlfriend got me a WWII-era Officer's Field Mess Kit--wood box with service for 9: heavy duty aluminum plates, shallow bowls, larger oval serving platter and two smaller oval side dishes, 9 stainless coffee mugs, salt and pepper shakers and silverware.

It's the perfect compliment for the Camp Kitchen I've got, which is a large wood box with storage compartments, that opens up to be a full work station. It was built back when nuts were square, and looks like it would have been an old Popular Mechanics project.

They're both going camping and to the races this year, and when I get my '62 K10 on the road, they're going to go on off-road overnighters.

Re: what did santa bring(non truck stuff)

I got a Savage Axis 223. I tossed the craptastic scope and put on an old Tasco Work Class wide view 3-9x40. Then sighted it in and got 5/8" groups at 100 with sloppy plinking rounds I loaded 4 years ago.

My wife got me an Ancestry DNA kit so I can see if I have any Native American in my bloodline. My dads mom always said that her husbands Great Grandfather was married to an Indian maiden in the Southeast US. We shall see.....

Thats cool Leon! I got my wife the same thing. She just found a bunch of family that she didn't know she had. Turned out she is related to a Hawaiian Queen way way back. Gonna be interesting to get the results back.

and a new pair of jeans with a "watch pocket" large enough to conceal without the need for a separate holster.....
drop the shirt over it and it's fully hidden...
trigger guard is fully covered and the angle makes for an easy quick draw...

I have that same Glock 43. It's a good size. I had a guy make me a holster for it to carry on the belt too.

careful with that. a guy in another forum just posted yesterday that he lost his grandson due to pocket carrying a glock. shot himself in the leg and hit an artery. died quickly. holster is always a good idea.

Thanks for the concern.....but it fits as tightly as it would in most any holster.....it's nearly impossible to access the trigger when it's in that small pocket. I don't ever carry in the regular pocket...
