87 Chevy Blower mortor
, I have a 1987 Chevy and the blower (heater) has went out and Chevy dealer wants to charge me $100 an hour to look at truck or possible fixing it. Well the part I'd less than $20 and I would like to fix it myself... but I need a little help so please anyone thanks

blower motor is very simple and inexpensive to replace. you can do in your self. its under the hood passenger side , 5 or 6 screws and 1 wire.

It is very common for problems with the blower to be someplace ELSE, and not the blower itself. The resistor pack is a common one, I've also seen problems with the AC/Blower relay, and the electrical contacts at the heater controls as well.
Take a jumper wire and hook the power lead from the blower to +12V on your battery and see if your blower works. You don't even need to remove your blower for this, just the electrical connection.
