Rust Proofing In Hard to Reach Spots...
Just finished up floors, rockers and corners, my question to the board is how do we keep the welds on the interior to the panels from rusting? Is there a specific way to keep them from rusting? A spray that we drill a small hole and shoot through?
I intend on keeping this truck for a long time and dont want to have to redo these panels soon.

They have a waxy type rustproofing that sprays through a small hose for inner doors & cavitys. Used for years at dealership , i believe eastwood has a similar setup. It fogs inner panels.

EASTWOOD Has Rust Encapsulator and internal frame coatings in spray cans with a flexible 24 in. hose and brass nozzle you could use along with rubber plugs(drill holes to fit) It is thin and will flow out of any cracks or drain holes in panels. messy so wear gloves and protect your finish paint. Check it out and beware of drain holes in doors and rockers! GOOD LUCK

I have seen them use a bed liner type rubberized spray from a opening after but at a minimum I coat the backside with a weld tru primer or something with zinc before I weld it in.

I used this spray corrosion stop product from Home Depot ..(my photo attached)
I got the idea that this area (the space between the inner and outer roof sheet metal) might be a problem area deserving of attention from board member "bcutt" who did his roof sheet metal restoration and took the trouble to try and help the rest of us by posting photos of his work (please see attached photos of his from this forum) back in December 2011 Actually I really think bcutt should have gotten some kind of maximum award or medal for his total heroic effort on the part of devotion to these trucks... he did an amazing job - On one of the most technically difficult sheet metal areas - lots of compound curves and close tolerances..Class AAA work! I have found a spray product from a buddy who worked at the hangars at the local airport. It is used to prevent corrosion on airplanes. It is called "Ardox" or something like that. I used it 28 years ago on an old MG I had, and it totally prevented any corrosion on the steel body.
I suggest finding an airframe mechanic, and asking him what they use in the local hangars. If y0u need the exact name, let me know, and I'll go out to the garage and find one of the cans. It's an aerosol spray can.

I drilled one inch holes and used a undercoating gun with a flexible wand to spray POR15 everywhere on my 67 Burban. I went with one inch holes so I could use factory plugs to fill them afterwards. If you want more information check out my Working Man's Burban thread in the Suburban section. You could use the same gun to spray Fluid Film in the voids also. It is an old school rust proofing agent that is non-toxic and works well.

I have been having all my vehicles cavity waxed like the first response suggested, stuff is sprayed in at the consistancy of say chicken broth and flows into all the nooks and creeces before it solidifies. I have had crew cab trucks and suburbans done, cost about $200-$250 at a reputable shop

We used 3m rust fighter when I was still working in the body shop. It cures to a solid waxy consistency.

So does the Eastwood stuff just find its way to different areas or do I need to drill a bunch of holes to spray?
Is there anything I can do at home to work? Something like the fogging stuff that finds its way into unreachable cavities?

Although, I think the EPA and their crackdown on VOC has caused a lot of these products to go off the market. Get it while you can
