65 front end rebuild recommendations
Doing a frame off on a 65 stepside. Already finished off the back end with a 6" static drop but starting on the front end now. Other than the drop, I'm staying fairly original with the rest. 6 lug, 15" tires, drums on the back, just had the 292 machined, 4 speed tranny.
Everything is stock on the front now so after perusing CPP and Brothers catalogs I believe I need to get the following: Power Steering Conversion kit from CPP Firewall Brake Booster kit from CPP (disc/drum) Upgrade Drop Spindle Wheel Brake Kit from CPP (so discs up front) Front Shock Re-Locater kit from Brothers Front Shock Support Bracket from Brothers Drop springs/shocks (already have those) Front Sway Bar from someone Anything I'm missing? I'll use my original control arms... Just making sure I order everything at the same time Thanks for any assistance!

Re: 65 front end rebuild recommendations
I would look at Early classic enterprises, CPP has horable customer service and I've heard brothers is same unless you go in person.
Ive used ECE on rebuild kit and several other small projects and have always had excellent customer service as well as quality. Just my $.02

Re: 65 front end rebuild recommendations
Ya I've experienced that with CPP before, it definitely gives me pause, especially on the power steering kit that appears to only be available there (though obviously I could just buy the pieces separately).
I like ECE but their site is hard to navigate for me. Things don't have much of a description, etc... I'll give them a call and maybe they can compile a list.

Re: 65 front end rebuild recommendations
I would also check with ECE first. Most of my build was from trades, exchanges for work/welding, and swaps. The items I did purchase for my suspension/chassis were from ECE (spindles, sway bars, shock relocators, rear track bar).
