Where are you getting your chrome work done?
Id like to find someone close to home if possible. I heard there was a place in Mukilteo but unable to find it. Up for most anywhere though if you have had good luck with someone. Easily packaged and shipped in a tube.
Looking to get some NOS steel 68 grill hoops done. I have some NOS aluminum ones, but they have been long out of the wrappers and would need a good polishing. Plus I think real chrome just looks better. |

I have used Advanced Plating in Nashville Tn with great results. I know they are a long distance from you but they do outstanding work.

Re: Where are you getting your chrome work done?
I think you might have a hard time finding a chrome shop that will try to chrome your aluminum hoops , they are thin to begin with, and from what I remember trying to hard chrome thin soft aluminum might not be a good idea, you might want to look in to nickel plating those hoops

Re: Where are you getting your chrome work done?
I used Fidel in houston to chrome my grill, he gave me a warranty on the plating even though the grill was aluminum.. everyshop I talked to wouldn't give me a warranty and some wouldn't even do it at all

Thanks for the tips guys. Ill check out that local place first then go from there. The hoops are light and easily shippable so if I have to send them a ways off its not going to be a big deal. |
