HELP FAST PLEASE! How do I get a front fender off a C10 FAST?!?!

Where are the bolts and what size sockets do I need? A friend of mine just got a C10 in his shop, but he said if I wanted anything off of it, I have to get it before 2moro morning. The fenders are PERFECT, so I'm gonna yank em. I seen that there's 4 bolts on the radiator core support, and then 2 behind the door (only accessible when door is OPEN). Where are the rest?

On the 76 there was one on the door, one under the body attached to the cab, some along the inside of the fenders, and along the inside of the rad support.

Just keep pulling bolts till you get it. You'll be needing 1/2 and 9/16 sockets, and at least a couple hours to get them.

there is a 9/16 headed bolt on the backside of the fender, behind the wheel. there are also two 1/2 headed bolts that hold the valence panel to the fender in the front. Take a 1/2 and 9/16 sockets, an extension, and ratchet. That should get the fenders off. BTW, there are 2 9/16 bolts that hold the inner fenders to the cab, if you are taking them too. If not, there are 6 (I think) bolts in the wheel opening, and 4 at the front of the inner, all 1/2 head

I got the sockets..but only got 10 minutes to pull of a fender...The truck is entirely stripped, only like the body panels left on it...

Actually, it IS legal..what's NOT legal is the truck was sitting in front of my friends shop (out in the country) for 3 months! Someone left it there completely stripped, so he assumed ownership of it.

sounds like the 83 cutlass we turned into a convertable (sawzall) and then left on the side of the road after we broke it off roading. i was actualy figureing that the truck had been wrecked and he was letting you grab the fenders before the insurance company got the truck, lol.

tim, take some extensions and a swivel if you have it . a few of the ones on the front behind the headlight bezel can be a hassle w/o the right tools. there are 2 way up high behind that bezel.. A 15mm torx head (T-15) will be needed to get the headlight bezels off. Sometime the bezels are held on the top with 9/32 headed screws but mostly with more t-15 screws. there is a bolt down low in the front behind the bumper tht attaches the grille filler to the fender and a bunch down near the charcoal canister. open the door and get one of the upper, rear ones with a 9/16 and the extension. another 9/16 on bottom inside the fender and one from the top near hood hinge. (3) 9/16 and the rest should be 1/2". DAVE

OK, well, I got a new set of doors and fenders! I went over there sight-unseen and BOY what a surprise! The doors and fenders are PERFECT CONDITION! NO RUST AT ALL! NO HOLES AT ALL! Only like three small dents on the drivers side door and fender. This all came off a 79 SWB Stepside. I woulda took more, but mostly everything was GONE.
So, my search for doors and fenders is OVER.
The only thing that I don't like..is the doors are cut for a 6x9 speaker at the bottom...I wanted to run 6x9's anyway..but I wanted to cut the holes myself...

As Cartman would say "YOU BASTARD" .
free, rust free doors & fenders great score !
If you put a piece of sheet metal over the holes and install the factory type carpet bootoms on the doors you can start over and put the speakers wher you want. the carpet bottoms are available aftermarket so you don't have to hunt for good used thatare the right color. They are a fairly easy piece to dye to dark color though. DAVE

Here are couple on Ebay, not exactly for free, but they look good.

Too bad they are in So. Dakota, wrong time of the year to drive there.
