Temperature gauge wire replacement
Somehow the wire from the block side popped off and plastic end melted to the headers. Is that something I can get locally? Easy to replace? My gauge went back and fourth and pegged at hot, will it be O.K. with new wire? Thanks

Re: Temperature gauge wire replacement
Gauge will be fine, it just touched ground which reads as "full hot". Won't hurt it at all.
The connector should be easy to find, it's a single-pole Packard connector, I would bet that most auto parts stores would carry it or something similar. Nothing special about the wire other than being green, you can extend/replace that as needed. So, no harm no foul and an easy fix.

Re: Temperature gauge wire replacement
Try this. But it's not green like the original.
