What kind of carb is this!?

Hi

Im new to all this so excuse a noob question -

WHAT MODEL OF CARB IS THIS!? I am trying to find a rebuild kit and have no idea what model is it. I was told that I can use a 1407 kit because theyre all basically the same but before I fork over any $, I want to be sure.

I know its an edelbrock but the only info I can find ( on the carb ) is an stamp on the front that says L2 475BS and the plaque that says COMPETITION SERIES 500 CFM. I've tried googling both of those and have found nothing.

Any ideas where I should look for a model number?

Thanks!

Looks like a Carter AFB. Edelbrock is a copy of the Carter. You have the original. IMO the Carter is better than the Edelbrock.

Carter competition series- uses the same rebuild kit as an Edelbrock carb.

I believe the Carter rebuild kit can be had for less $$ than an Edelbrock kit. The model number is 4758S.
