3100 6 year project
Been working on my 1948 Chevy 3100 5.3/L60E conversion for 6 years. Finally started to put a few miles on the truck to sort out the bugs. I have had the Pickup since 1980. Drove it stock till the original 216 froze up in 2006. In 2010 I purchased a 7,000 mile wrecked 09 Chevy 4 door Pickup. I pulled engine, trans and every wire in that vehicle. To date I have done every thing except modify the ecm. I am using the original frame, TCI Mustang style front suspension, Ford 8.8/3:55 post disc brake rear end on modified original leaf springs, Mustang 20 gallon gas tank with fender filler. Tanks kit for intank Walbro fuel pump, Classic gauges and late Chevy Van steering column. I am old school, I want the truck lowered some with a bit of a rake, as well as steel wheels, 14 inch front, 15 inch rear.
