Rear lower quarter panel
Does anyone know if they sell just the rear lower sheet metal? Do i have to buy a fleetside lower and make it work? The tub i bought had them removed for im guessing a tube or plate bumper.

Re: Rear lower quarter panel
If you can try looking for patches from a truck, original metal instead of repro, it will be alot easier to fit. Long or shortbed will work, just with the long bed you can't use the whole piece to the end because it will be longer. Shortbed will be the same length as blazer but the chances of finding a short bed patch from a truck are obviously much slimmer.

Re: Rear lower quarter panel
Nope !! That was the only thing I couldn't get, because the shape of that area is unique to the Blazer. Thankfully my 1/4's were in good shape at the rear of the truck. I used fleetside patches to fix the wheel arch , and they fit pretty good with a bit of massaging.

Re: Rear lower quarter panel
Yes it is the same. The pictures I posted were of a short bed side fitted to my jimmy. That is correct, as far as I know the lower rear is not available in short bed length, only long bed. Often times only the piece directly behind the rear wheel is what is needed, not the entire length. Another thing that could be done if the entire length is needed is to take a section out of the middle of the long bed patch and weld it back together.

When I did my Blazer, I also bought the long box patch panels, but never used them because they would have taken too much massaging to make them fit. Not only was the rear part a different shape, the taper from front to back was way off. I opted to use a full wheel arch because thankfully my 1/4 was not that bad at the rear. |

Re: Rear lower quarter panel
That's the reason why I stick to original steel whenever I can. I have learnt that lesson the hard way too many times over the years about ill fitting aftermarket. Although I must say I was impressed with the short bed side I got. The detail was nice and everything lined up perfectly.
I wish I could say the same about the repro blazer bedside. I made a post about it here but long story short it was a disaster. I will find the link and post it. Edit. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...9&postcount=55

Re: Rear lower quarter panel
Or go the shortbed route but at $400ish per side it wouldn't be very practical for the small section you need. Good luck either way 😊
