Headliner packing material
I am in the process of cleaning up the old cardboard headliner in my 1948 3100. There is a lot of dried up rubber packing between the metal headliner and the cab roof just under the dome light
What is being used to repack that area with something new. I need to repack this area before I put in the new headliner. |

Re: Headliner packing material
I have used sound deadening mat up there with good success, but also applied liquid nail as I was afraid the adhesive that comes on it was not going to be enough on a horizontal surface that gets heat from the sun. So far, so good on that application

Sorry to hijck but would dynamat or similar with 3m 777 be better than liquid nails? Latter tends to get brittle with age. |

Re: Headliner packing material
Was basically dynamat and skimmed heavy duty liquid nail. 777 might work too but think I would not be happy if I tried to take mine off. It is stuck, stuck, stuck
Used it on the inside of the doors too |
