Antique Automobile Radio
Has anyone used or installed the "new" original radio like AAR sells for our trucks? If so I would like to see the install on how it is mounted and hooked up as it doesn't use the original radio plug or power wire.

Re: Antique Automobile Radio
sub'd
really neat but pretty expensive. A side by side in performance to the retrosound would be nice although aesthetically this one takes the cake http://www.radiosforoldcars.com/newradiochevtruck70.htm |

Re: Antique Automobile Radio
I'll cut the dash and put a nice single din in with speakers and a amp for that kind of money! I had a stereo shop do my 56 Bel Air and that was counting labor for that kind of money. They even cut the rear speakers in for that.

I like to keep everything as close to stock as I can and try to preserve what's left of these old trucks

Re: Antique Automobile Radio
That's why I have something like this (not this one, I don't think, a couple of hundred less but it looks the same with no bluetooth, etc). It looks totally original and a good working FM radio is pretty hard to find!

Re: Antique Automobile Radio
I'm only 30 years old and I would give anything to be able to go back into time and see how all these older vehicles were back then. I learned to keep it simple with an old car build and learned a lot from Jerry Brown of The Truck Shop in Crossville,TN. He and Jason have practically helped me build my truck and have showed me stuff through the years. That's why I pay the $$$ that I pay for some parts I have on my truck. Sorry for the rant just had to get it out no disrespect. Anyone else have any info on the above radio?
