Flashed's new ride!
Told flashed if he emailed me photos, id post em for him, so here they are. Its a 1972 c10 4x4. i know its got a 350, im pretty sure its an auto, 4x4 works, and his plan for it is to drive it almost daily, and for it to be his work truck. I know he needs some blue 72 armrests, and a painted bumper.

Re: Flashed's new ride!
Looks like a nice solid truck- good snag! Is it the picture angle, or is the drivers side rocker a little messed up? Looks like you could put a couple of eyeballs below the mirror & it would talk to you just like Towmater!

Re: Flashed's new ride!
I went to the Bodyshop yesterday to take some parts up and the mechanic was working on my new ride .It now has complete new rear brakes ,4 new shocks ,a new front steering shock ,fresh gear oil in both axles ,new transmission filter and fluid ,all new fuel lines and filter ,and a fresh tank of gas as I drove it with a milk crate to fill it up after getting all the dead gas out .Should have a nicely recovered seat soon.Front brakes completely replaced are next .This truck drives like new now .

Re: Flashed's new ride!
Those God aweful mudflaps are now gone ,hope to have the seat back from upholstery tomorrow ,the side mirrors will be replaced with 72 truck ones and cab lights are going to be added as well as new 3 point seat belts to replace the original lap belts .Have new dash pad and arm rests .The paint and surface rust will be preserved as best we can .This truck has no rust other than a small nail head size hole in the driver side rocker ,not a bit under the battery tray or right front fender or core support .I sure do like Cali trucks .All the running gear has been thoroughly gone over and has all new fluids ,runs like a champ .It even drives great considering I was sitting on a fiberglass box .This is my first ever running driving 4x4 and I plan to enjoy it thoroughly .

Re: Flashed's new ride!
Nice. I really like the old used truck look.
The worn finish look just has a certain appeal to it. Don't get me wrong clean fresh paint is nice but then you get a puckered bung hole anytime it's touched. That would look really good with a fresh set of steelies and caps too. Was gonna mention the mirrors but... I have a winch bumper too. My kid keeps egging me too put it on but I don't have a winch yet so it would look kinda silly without one. So the oe bumper works for now.

Re: Flashed's new ride!
My winch bumper came with a huge winch on it ,not in working order but looks like a starter motor for power .That sucker is heavy ,will probably be sold .My bumper came off a 72 GMC so we will be making provisions for turn signals in it .It shows where the Warn sticker used to be in the center .Maybe if I buy a Warn winch they will include a new sticker .
I do also have a set of 15x8 6 Lug steelies if I dont sell them . |

Re: Flashed's new ride!
OK ,my seat is finally out of the upholstery shop and sitting in my Orange (Medium Red) 72 Chevy truck and will be going to be installed in the 4x4 tomorrow along with the new 3 point seat belts .I hope to finally bring it home until they get ready to scuff it and clear it .
