Whoohoo today's project is a mile stone!
Well I finally converted over to powersteering....no more work out to park or maneuver in a shop.....I cant thank the board members enough for the info on parts for the swap! Here is the rundown!
Gearbox complete with pump and hoses (clean one) from a 84 burb= $75 PS pump complete with bracket and pully from 2004 5.3=$35 bucks New pressure hose rock auto=$17 New moog pitman arm rockauto=$48 New belt napa=$36 1' low psi PS hose=$4 1 qt ps fluid=$5 Couple of new Orings= few pennies😆 So the grand total@$220 for a improvement that no one should pass by! As per other boar members suggestions I pulled the fitting and valve out of the old pump and installed in the new pump. I used a stock 84 high psi hose. I could have bought the box alone for $50 but i figured the valve and low side hose fitting were worth the extra coin. Plus i pulled it all together to keep dirt etc out untill the install.

What year is your truck? Any problems getting the box to bolt up to the frame.
Looks real good and low buck to boot! A winner on all fronts
