Gmc 940 2 ton
I've found a 1969 Gmc 2 ton and it has a Gmc 940 icon on the fender.
Suspect the number is a Canadian version of ???. It has two big dump cylinders , so it might have been a dump truck but has a flat bed on it now. Have not been able to find much info on the inter net about it. The vin number is c9e439p015034 From what I have read is the second digit (9) indicates GMC in Canada (E) for v8 (4) 2 ton?, (3) cab and chassis (9) 1969 (P) build city and then unit number. It has a 16000 Gvw rating also. Other than that have not been able to find much about it. Any info would be appreciated. |

Re: Gmc 940 2 ton
Most likely equal to a Chevy C-40 here in the US.

Re: Gmc 940 2 ton
Man that is nice! Yes, it's the Canadian equivalent to a C/40, actually a C4500 since it's a GMC. A 1/2t is a 910 and up from there
