Another brake swap question, hopefully a pretty simple one though
So 1st off, thanks for dealing with my **** ton of questions.
I have a 69 c20, and I'm looking to swap to power discs in the front and lower it. Right now I have: stock 1969 c20. And I have rotors, calipers, and tierods (in, out and coupler) from a 1982 8 lug suburban. In ordeer to make it all work I would need (drop)spindles for the 82 suburban, upper and lower ball joints for the suburban (I can reuse my a arms correct?). And a booster, master cylinder and proportioning valve off of a 71/72 c10. Is all of that correct? I'm about to order the rest of the parts and just want to be sure before buying all of it. Thanks again |

I believe you need to use the A-arm's from the 82 also. You need to check the size of the ball joints out. The size and taper could be different.

Damn, ok. I was under the impression that I could put the "newer" ball joints in my a arms. Looks like I'm going back to the junk yard lol

The newer ball joints should fit the older control arms.
