HEI Distributer

I have a HEI distributer for sale.
I bought it to change over my 292 but when another direction.
Apparently, it only needs a coil(PO said).

Re: HEI Distributer

Interested in this. I have a 1966 250 with a points distributor. Does it need a special coil pack or would it work with my standard coil?

The coil is in the top of the cap.

Re: HEI Distributer

Clearly I have no experience with these but would like to upgrade.
Can't read the part # to check the availability of replacement coil.
Thanks- Paul

Re: HEI Distributer

If you buy this you need to change the power wire.

Re: HEI Distributer

Thanks RV foot. I recognize that I need to change the wiring but
I am going by the statement:
"Apparently, it only needs a coil(PO said)." I assume means that the coil on the distributor needs to be replaced?
