Project 6
Just picked a 83 Scottsdale long bed that had been setting in a guys back yard being used as a trash storage bin. It has a 250 CID inline 6 that originally came with a manual transmission, the original trans has been replaced with a auto. It had also been in a accident and hit on the left front fender and grill area. This is what she looks like for now.

Anyway, got her out of the back yard and across the street, with the permission of the owner, for a couple of days until I can get it home. This is what it look like sitting over there so the first thing to do is get it home and then make a to do list. |

Re: Project 6
Any pictures of the rpo sheet in the glove box? Curious if it had the MY6 4 speed originally

Re: Project 6
dragonball the rpo sheet was on the left front fender. It came with a MM3 transmission which was a 3 speed manual. The PO for some reason changed it out and put a automatic in.

Re: Project 6
Finally got to pull the truck home, didn't want it to wear its welcome out where it was. The first order of business is to find out why it wouldn't start and stay running and to make a to do list of things that I want to do to it. Here a a few more photos, a lot of work to be done.

Re: Project 6
Started working on the truck to see why it wouldn't run and the first thing is it has a lot of rotten and unplugged vacuum lines. Along with that the heater hoses are bad and leaking and the valve cover gasket is also leaking. The first order of business is to replace the needed vacuum lines and plug the ones not needed and start working on some of the fluid leaks.
